NETB Branch (Representing staff in Education & Training Boards)
IMPACT’s NETB Branch was reconstituted in January 2014 replacing the former VEC Branch, which was formed in 2005. Our Branch represents over 1,300 staff employed in 16 Education and Training Boards nationwide.
Our Branch prides itself on providing an informed, reliable and proactive platform for members’ queries, concerns and views, be they local, regional or national. Our membership has retained high density levels despite the harsh recession and new members are always welcome and continue to join our Branch.
Organisationally we have a National Branch Executive Committee, made up of a maximum of 20 representatives from NETBs including seven regional representatives. The committee also has a chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer, membership officer, health and safety officer, training officer, equality officer, PRO, retired members’ representative and general members. Every NETB has an IMPACT in-house committee, made up of people nominated by the members in that NETB. This committee is normally steered by the local representative.
