IASS Pension Update

Thursday 25th September 2014

IMPACT received a copy of a letter sent to SIPTU from the DAA’s chief executive, Kevin Toland. In the letter, Mr Toland expressed the view that the Airport Police do not have a veto on the broader pension proposals for the 2,600 staff at the DAA. You can read the letter HERE.

IMPACT national secretary Matt Staunton responded to the DAA, seeking the employer’s final proposals to implement the Labour Court recommendation and the Expert Panel Report, upon which members can be balloted. See Matt’s letter here.

Separately, other unions concerned at the implications of the Trustee’s likely next step – in the absence of a collective agreement – have issued similar letters seeking that members are given the option of voting on the the mitigating measures contained in the Expert Panel’s report.

These documents are also available in a previous update which is available HERE.
