Force majeure leave

The Parental Leave Acts of 1998 and 2006 provide for limited paid leave (force majeure leave) to enable employees to deal with emergencies where a dependent family member (including same-sex couples) is injured or ill. It is limited to three days in any year and a total of five days in any three year period. You can get more information from the National Employment
