Data protection

The Data Protection Acts prevent your employer from using certain personal information it holds without the permission of the staff member concerned. This permission can be assumed in some cases, such as using salary details to pay tax to the Revenue Commissioners. Personal information cannot be given or sold to third parties without your permission.
