South Tipperary Branch of IMPACT donate to save South Tipperary General Hospital
The South Tipperary Branch of IMPACT trade union made a donation of €5,000 on behalf of its members to the campaign to save South Tipperary General Hospital. Ben Grogan, IMPACT branch chairman, presented a donation cheque to independent Councillor Seamus Healy at the Save the Hospital campaign office on O’Connell Street, Clonmel this evening (Wednesday 4th August). more

Talks between IMPACT trade union and management in the HSE concerning proposed spending cuts in the region adjourned in Galway yesterday (Tuesday) without agreement. The meeting was also attended by Siptu and the INMO. more

IMPACT warns of 5,000 community sector job losses

A report commissioned by IMPACT’s Boards & Voluntary Agencies branch, which represents workers in the community and voluntary sector, has warned that the sector is facing crisis as state funding is cut. The report found that the sector continues to be disproportionately hit by cuts as service demand soars during recession. more
