IMPACT’s first Education Seminar, Equality and Disadvantage in Education
IMPACT’s first Education Seminar, Equality and Disadvantage in Education, took place on Thursday 29th January 2009 in the Helix Gallery in DCU, Dublin. The seminar was open to all members of IMPACT working in the education sector, of which there are currently 6,000 working in a diverse number of roles. In addition, we welcomed representatives from the teaching unions and other educational bodies. The keynote address was given by Mr Fergus Finlay of Barnardos, and focused on the role of the education system in eliminating childhood poverty. more
