INFORMATION FOR DELEGATES
The IMPACT biennial delegate conference 2016 takes place in the conference centre of the Gleneagle hotel, Killarney, County Kerry from Wednesday 18th – Friday 20th May 2016, inclusive. This letter contains information about the conference. If you have further queries you should contact your branch secretary or chair in the first instance.
Copies of the conference agenda and other conference documents have been sent to your branch secretary and are now available on the IMPACT website. Links to all essential conference documents are now available on the IMPACT website. They will also be made available to delegates on a computer memory stick at the conference.
Registration and ballot papers
The principal delegate of each branch (usually the branch chair or secretary) is responsible for registering the entire delegation. Other delegates do not have to register separately. Principal delegates are also responsible for the collection of ballot papers.
Conference dinner and social events
The conference dinner will be held at 8.00pm sharp on Friday 20thth May in the same room as the conference is being held. Principal delegates usually make arrangements for tickets on behalf of branch delegations. Social events have also been arranged in the Gleneagle hotel on the evenings of Wednesday 18th May and Thursday 19th May.
Delegates who require childcare facilities should immediately contact the Gleneagle hotel or the hotel they are staying in.
Members with disabilities
If you require specific arrangements because of a disability you should contact your branch secretary, who should inform Margaret Gorman (01-817-1568 or firstname.lastname@example.org) in the union’s Dublin office.
Transport and parking in Killarney
The Gleneagle hotel is located a short distance outside the centre of Killarney, and is well signposted from the town. Shuttle buses to the hotel from the train station and the airport will be available on Wednesday 18th May. Further details of local transport arrangements will be announced at conference. There is ample free parking at the conference centre.
