Blog Post – Social Care Worker Survey 2017

IMPACT have launched a survey for Social Care Workers in Ireland. The survey, while only taking 5 minutes to complete, looks at issues ranging from career development and professional supervision to physical assault cases and complaints procedures. We are looking to develop a comprehensive view of what careers in Social Care look like through the experiences of people who know their work best. With statutory registration for CORU being introduced, we want to be able to map any changes within the sector. CORU is the national regulatory body for Health and Social Care Professionals.

Social Care covers a large range of job types and sectors, with titles including access works, outreach worker, project worker, childcare worker, and community worker, with sectors ranging from childcare and family services to homeless and community services. This survey will be hugely important in developing campaign strategies for IMPACT in ensuring that everyone who works in Social Care has a quality job with consistent standards across the country.
